Overview
Catalyst Point is the industrial district of Kharos Prime — the capital city of Kharos-7. Foundries, fabrication lines, logistics yards, manufacturer compounds. If something is built on Kharos-7, the parts came from here.
It is the most strategically important district on the planet. Imperial analysts have run the numbers — a single day of full stoppage at Catalyst Point would collapse Kharos-7’s supply chain inside a week. The military protects it harder than they protect the palace.
Who runs it
Imperial Core owns the ground. The floor is run by a manufacturers’ presence — six chartered makers operating Imperial-licensed factory space. The empire watches. It does not operate.
Manufacturers on charter
- Vorrhast Heavy Industries — Imperial-flagged. Capital plates, gunships, brutalist heavy chassis. The empire’s preferred supplier.
- Halbern Defence Works — old-money imperial supplier. Hardened modules, defensive fits, escort frames.
- Kessler Forgeworks — named for the Reach. Forge-grade hulls and battle-line chassis. Quietly the empire’s wartime backbone.
- Veliris — sleek interceptors, fast-attack frames. Same market segment as Nova, different temperament.
- Mírasel — exotic. Half the rumours say their drives shouldn’t work. They do.
- Drayhold Fabrication — workhorses. Haulers, miners, salvage rigs. The maker freelancers actually buy from.
What a pilot does here
Buy components. Sell salvage. Repair and refit. Crafting stations on charter. Public contract boards run delivery, escort, and salvage routes off-planet.
You can buy a ship outright if you have the kredits. You can also walk these floors as an off-duty Imperial pilot — your service-issue chassis is Imperial property, but the modules you bolt on are yours to choose.
What this district is not
Not a pilot quarter. No barracks. No flight schools. No lounges. Off-duty Imperial Air Force personnel sleep in Echo Citadel. The pilots you see on these floors are freelancers, manufacturer test crews, or off-shift Imperial pilots in for parts. You are a customer here, not a resident.
Atmosphere
Sterile. Ordered. Loud in a clean way — assembly lines and exhaust fans, not chaos. Cameras on every facade. Echo Citadel sits on the next ridge over. Whatever happens here is heard.
